No, not the ones currently in Spring Training down in Florida, I’m talking about the actual bird. They keep growing in number around here. It started with just two of them hopping around our driveway, but now I’m seeing more and more around the neighborhood. Spring must be near!

I had to break out the weedeater today and chop some of the jungle that was sprouting up around our house. It seems that the double-seeding and double-fertilizing we did last Fall is really starting to show its results. As I was cutting some of the grass closest to the house that was about a foot tall (no, seriously, it was a foot tall!) I was getting concerned that there might be a small child lost in there.

Thankfully, there wasn’t.
